Marriage Quiz

I was ‘tagged’ by my friend Stacia to put this on my blog (as she did on hers), so here we go...

1. Who is your man? Brian
2. How long have you been together? Almost 4 years (married for 8 months).
3. How long did you date? 3 years.
4. How old is your man? 35
5. Who eats more? Brian for sure. He’s a snackaholic.
6. Who said "I love you" first? He did.
7. Who is taller? Brian is by about 2 inches.
8. Who sings better? Me, but Brian can definitely carry a tune.
9. Who is smarter? Hmmm, this is a hard one. I think we both are pretty smart, but Brian is probably smarter than me in more areas.
10. Whose temper is worse? Brian’s temper is worse. He has less patience and get’s frustrated faster than I do. It takes a lot to get me really upset, but watch out when I do! :-)
11. Who does the laundry? We both do our own. That’s the benefit of marrying a long-time bachelor.
12. Who takes out the garbage? Brian does.
13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do.
14. Who pays the bills? We each have certain bills that we pay, but Brian definitely pays more than I do.
15. Who is better with the computer? ME! Ha, just kidding Babe. Brian is definitely better with the computer (he’s a computer programmer).
16. Who mows the lawn? Brian does, but I help with other yard work.
17. Who cooks dinner? It depends on who feels like cooking. If neither one of us wants to cook, then we order out.
18. Who drives when you are together? Brian.
19. Who pays when you go out? We take turns, but Brian pays more often.
20. Who is most stubborn? Wow, this is a tough one. We both are pretty stubborn when it’s something we feel strongly about. I would say Brian is a little more stubborn than I am though.
21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Neither one of us is good at it, but Brian is a little better than I am.
22. Whose parents do you see the most? Well my parents are deceased, so it would be Brian’s parents.
23. Who kissed who first? Brian gave me a quick peck on our 2nd date.
24. Who asked who out? Brian asked me out.
25. Who proposed? Brian did on New Year’s Eve 2007.
26. Who is more sensitive? We both are. I think we’re pretty even in that department.
27. Who has more friends? I do.
28. Who has more siblings? I do. 3 sisters and 1 brother.
29. Who wears the pants in the family? Brian thinks he does, but we both know that it’s me who’s wearing the ‘pantalones’ in this family! :-)

Green Thumb

Brian and I experimented with our green thumbs and busted our buns planting and making improvements to the backyard this weekend. Below are some pictures of our hard work.

This is the AFTER picture. We put in Endless Summer Hydrangeas, Japanese Painted Ferns and a Japanese Maple.

Enlightened Hibiscus (a Bahama Bay Tropical Hybiscus).


This plant is extra special to me. The flowers resemble Blue Bonnets, which was my Mom's favorite. I couldn't have picked a better day to plant it than on Mother's Day. (The plant is a Serena Angelonia).


Our rose bushes were getting a little out of control, so we bought a trellis for each bush.
