Dress Up Daddy!

Morgan insisted that Daddy wear her crown

Oh what a father will do for his daughter.

Big Girl

Morgan is growing up right before our eyes! She's drinking out of her big girl cup and eating at the kitchen table. Goodbye highchair!

Snow Cone Addict

POOR, DEPRIVED Morgan was upset that her snow cone was gone. You can tell by her very red lips that she didn't get nearly enough! :)

Peggy & Ron's Farewell Party

Peggy & Ron are moving to London, England at the end of this month. Several of us planned a farewell party for them with a British AND Texas themed Hat Party. Guests were told to either wear a British hat or a Cowboy hat. The food was themed as well and I was told to bring a couple of British foods. I had no idea what to bring, so I made fruit pizzas in the shape of the British flag and cucumber sandwiches, which I found bland, but many people enjoyed them.

The week before the party, I made mine and Lisa's British hats for the party. I had a lot of fun shopping for the materials and coming up with a design of how I wanted them to look.

Weekend Getaway

Brian and I took a weekend to ourselves in July to spend 2 nights at the Omni in Fort Worth. We had a great and relaxing time. Our first day was spent hanging out by the pool and having a couple of drinks. We had dinner that evening at Bob's Steak & Chop House. The next day we went to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and had lunch at Blue Sushi, which was some of the best sushi I've ever had! Our final evening was spent at the Wine Thief, sampling appetizers and taste testing several different wines.

Brian feared for his life outside the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

4th of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend! On Friday, Morgan's daycare had an Independence Day parade around the parking lot. We were instructed to dress Morgan in her red, white and blue. She had a great time parading around the parking lot and shaking the parade shaker that she made.

Saturday, we went to Tom & Sedeve's for a pool party. Morgan, Daddy & Aunt Lisa played with Morgan in the pool until a volleyball game started and we had to get her out. She was not happy to be kicked out of the pool!

Sunday, we went to Grammy & Pap's house and had lunch with them and Robin, Ed, Brittany and Gracie. Gracie made a very cute sun visor for Morgan, which Morgan loved. Grammy & Pap gave Morgan a cute Indian headdress and drum that they got for her when they went to the Black Hills in South Dakota.

Monday, we relaxed and played in the pool. We didn't keep Morgan up to see the fireworks this year. They started too late, unfortunately.

It was a great weekend filled with family & friends.

Morgan is ready for the parade! (If you're wondering why there's tin foil on the counters, it's to prevent the cats from jumping up on them.)
