34 weeks and counting...

Trivial Pursuit Smackdown

After the shower last Saturday, we had our 2nd annual Trivial Pursuit Smackdown: Men vs. Women. Last year the women triumphed over the men and we planned on keeping our title for another year. Unfortunately, it didn't quite turn out the way we'd planned. The men ended up winning because they got a lot of easy questions and ended the game before it was officially over. Not that I'm bitter or anything! We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs, but I will say that next year, we're not falling for the men's little tricks like we did this year! Enjoy it while you can fellas!

Family Baby Shower

Mary and Robin hosted the family baby shower at our house last weekend and they did a FABULOUS job in making it special for me and Brian. While I was off getting a pedicure, they completely decorated the house and had it ready to go by the time I got back. They had the shower catered by Cantina Laredo and the cake was decorated to match the napkins. In addition, they knew that strawberry cake was my favorite, so they also had cute little strawberry petit fours made with baby booties on them. They did an outstanding job and everyone had a great time. Thank you again Mary and Robin! We love you!

Morgan's Room

My friend Peggy totally outdid herself in decorating Morgan's room and it couldn't be more perfect! She and my sister Lisa came over to the house today to put the finishing touches on the room while Brian and I were out 'interviewing' daycares for baby Morgan. We weren't allowed in the room until they were done and when they did the big reveal, Brian was at a loss for words and I cried like a baby. Peggy had hand-painted the letters of Morgan's name and added daisies to each letter to remind me that my mom was there and watching over my sweet baby girl. The pictures can't capture the spirit of the room, but believe me when I say, it's absolutely perfect and I can't wait for Morgan to enjoy it as much as I do.

Friend Baby Shower

My sister Lisa and my friend Peggy threw a beautiful baby shower for me on August 1st and invited several of my friends to celebrate with me. We played a game, ate some fantastic appetizers and enjoyed some delicious Sprinkles cupcakes. I opened gifts at the end and received so many precious things for Morgan that I don't think she'll ever want for anything! Thank you all for sharing this special day with me.

Smashing Times

My department at work had another great quarter, so Kit rewarded us by taking us to Smashing Times to create our own mosaics. It was such a great time!
