Elf Breakfast

We introduced the Elf on the Shelf this year to Morgan. The concept of the Elf is to watch over the child/children in the house and fly back to the North Pole every night to report to Santa on how good or bad the child was that day. There are basically 2 rules for the child - she must name her elf and she's not allowed to touch her. (The elf loses her magic if she is touched.)

I thought I would introduce the elf by having her host a breakfast for Morgan. She prepared hot chocolate with marshmellows scattered all over the table, powered donuts, and chocolate chip waffles. She also wrote a special note to Morgan to introduce herself and asked her to read her book.

I read the book to Morgan and asked her what she wanted to name her elf. She couldn't come up with any names, so I mentioned about 5 or 6 names and she chose Candi, so Candi the Elf it was. I don't think that Morgan really understood the full concept of Candi the Elf, but she enjoyed looking for her every morning. She also liked to tell everyone who came over that they were not allowed to touch Candi because she was magical.
