MY-Nastics

Every Saturday morning we take Morgan to gymnastics and as we approach the building she starts screaming "my-nastics" over and over. So the word gymnastics has now officially been changed to my-nastics. She absolutely loves it and has really developed her coordination, strength, and balance. It took her a while to warm up to some of the stations. She wouldn't do a front roll for the first couple of months, but now she does it without any assistance. Olympics 2024 here we come!
The pictures below are from one of her classes in August.

The first station is the trampoline (her favorite)

Morgan did a perfect front roll, so she got to ring the bell, which is a big deal for all of the kids there. When you ring the bell, all of the observers in the stands clap for you.

Circle Time

During circle time there is some kind of prop that they use to engage the kids. This particular week it was a chicken. Morgan had to find just the right one.

Walking her fingers down her legs and tickling her feet

Getting ready to hold her breath so she can bend down to her "stinky feet".

Morgan and Ava flying and yelling "Superman"!

Jumping into the pit

Rope Swing

Balance Beam

At the end of the hour, they all get stamps on their hands and feet and a sucker. They get a picture to color and an accomplishment sheet too, but once the suckers come out, the other stuff doesn't matter.

Our happy little gymnast
